Not that I have ever been good at keeping a blog, but this last month I have had a good excuse; writing songs, booking tour, moving, getting rid of a bunch of bikes, selling enough bikes to afford to move, and trying not to go insane. Now that its all said and done, We fucking aced it!
The first step was getting ready to move, our house started with six of us, and by then end it was just kristi and I. red, darcy, and tay went back east, and thom hess was house sitting his parents. So (in what seems to be a reoccurring event) I was left to deal with everyone elses shit. Giving credit where it is due, Kristi, Mogli, Bibi, and thom were all a huge help.
If we go back to about the 15th or so, I was losing my shit, although we had a good chunk of the house packed up, I had no money to move. I mean moving is expensive enough, but when you have to take a ferry, its ridiculous. I mean I was lucky because my mom was coming down from powell river to help, and Mogli and Bibi we're willing to fill there bus with stuff to drive over, but I only had about 40 bucks to my name. Not to mention the lack of funs, 2 vehicles would not be enough to move all our stuff, 20 bikes, and my entire bike shop to pender island. After only selling 4 or 5 bikes in the last 6 months I had a feeling I should give up on the bikes and just fill my moms truck with my stuff. Maybe the money from scrap metal would pay the 150 bucks to move the truck to pender.
I don't know if I have mentioned before, but I have the best luck ever, I can't think of a time where things havn't gone my way. (knock on wood) Just as I am about to throw out all of my bikes, I get 4 emails in 2 days, oddly enough, a bunch of people want to buy all my nicest bikes. as in the ones I have been holding onto since last summer hoping somebody would buy them. Just like that I have 350 bucks. Before I know it I am in my moms truck followed by the bus, completely full of everything I own, as well as 15 bikes, 40 wheels, a dozen frames, and a million parts. We're the last 2 cars on the ferry, and my heart rate returns to normal for the first time in 3 weeks.

About Me
- Laurie Storrie
- I'm a weird kid from a town you've never heard of. I'd rather you write your own stories than read mine and I am not sure how I feel about blogs. However, I have tried keeping a journal for years, but my brain works way faster than my writing hand, and I get distracted easy. So here's a journal that I might be able to keep. And it's even waterproof. I am a horrible speller, I use words that people tell me aren't words, I put commas all over the place and I capitalize whatever I want. Deal with it :)
